Right of Withdrawal
As a consumer in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days without giving any reason. This page explains your withdrawal rights for Premium code purchases.
1. Who Has the Right to Withdraw?
The right of withdrawal applies to consumers only. A consumer is any natural person who enters into a legal transaction for purposes that are predominantly neither commercial nor related to their independent professional activity.
This right does not apply to:
- Business customers
- Companies or self-employed persons purchasing for business purposes
- Public institutions or organizations
2. Withdrawal Period
You have 14 days to withdraw from your purchase without giving any reason. The withdrawal period begins:
- On the day of contract conclusion (when you complete your purchase)
- When you receive the premium code via email
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision to withdraw from this contract by a clear statement before the expiry of the withdrawal period.
3. How to Exercise Your Right of Withdrawal

3.2 Required Information
Your withdrawal notification must include:
- Your name and contact details
- Order number or transaction ID
- Date of purchase
- Clear statement of your decision to withdraw

4. Important: Loss of Right of Withdrawal for Digital Content
⚠️ Premium Code Activation = Loss of Withdrawal Right
According to EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU), your right of withdrawal expires immediately when you activate your premium code.
4.1 When You Lose the Right to Withdraw
Your right of withdrawal ends prematurely if:
- You activate the premium code - This begins the performance of the digital content service
- You use premium features - Any use of unlimited generations or premium mythologies/structures
- For 24-hour codes: When the code is activated and the 24-hour period begins
4.2 Express Consent
By purchasing and activating a premium code, you expressly consent to:
- The immediate delivery of digital content (premium access)
- The loss of your right of withdrawal upon activation
- The acknowledgment that the service begins before the 14-day withdrawal period expires
This consent is given at the time of purchase through our payment providers (Gumroad, PayPal, or Stripe), where you are informed about the loss of withdrawal right for digital content.
4.3 Before Activation
You CAN exercise your right of withdrawal if:
- You have not yet activated the premium code
- The 14-day withdrawal period has not expired
- You return the unused code to us
5. Effects of Withdrawal
5.1 Refund Process
If you effectively withdraw from your purchase (before code activation), we will refund all payments received from you, including delivery costs (with the exception of additional costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).
5.2 Refund Timeline
We will process the refund:
- Without undue delay
- No later than 14 days after we receive your withdrawal notification
- Using the same payment method you used for the original transaction (unless expressly agreed otherwise)
- At no additional cost to you
5.3 Return of Premium Code
If you withdraw before activation, you must:
- Return the unused premium code to us
- Send it via email to contact@metal-lyrics-ai.com
- Confirm that the code has not been activated or used
We may withhold the refund until we have verified that the code has not been activated.
6. Exceptions to the Right of Withdrawal
According to EU law, the right of withdrawal does not apply to:
- Digital content where performance has begun with the consumer's prior express consent and acknowledgment that they thereby lose their right of withdrawal (Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU)
- Contracts where the price depends on fluctuations in the financial market
- Goods that are personalized or made to the consumer's specifications
7. Payment Provider Policies
7.1 Gumroad
If you purchased through Gumroad, you may also need to contact Gumroad directly for refund processing. Gumroad's refund policy applies in addition to our withdrawal terms.

7.2 PayPal / Stripe
For purchases made through PayPal or Stripe, refunds will be processed through the respective payment provider. The refund timeline may vary based on your bank or payment method.
8. Special Cases
8.1 Bulk Orders
For bulk orders (multiple premium codes), the right of withdrawal applies to each code individually. You can withdraw for unused codes within the 14-day period, but activated codes are excluded from withdrawal.
8.2 Gifts
If you purchased a premium code as a gift and gave it to someone else:
- You can exercise the right of withdrawal if the code has not been activated
- Once the recipient activates the code, withdrawal is no longer possible
- The recipient cannot exercise withdrawal rights (as they are not the purchaser)
8.3 Technical Issues
If you experience technical issues that prevent you from using the service after activation, this does not restore your right of withdrawal. However, you may be entitled to:
- Technical support to resolve the issue
- A replacement code if the original is defective
- A refund under our Terms & Conditions (Section 8) if the issue cannot be resolved

If you are not satisfied with our response to your withdrawal request, you have the right to:

- Consumer Protection Centers: Contact your local consumer protection organization
- Court Proceedings: File a complaint in your country of residence
We are committed to resolving disputes amicably but are not obliged to participate in alternative dispute resolution procedures.
